Clara focuses her practice in the areas of entertainment law, intellectual property and marketing and advertising law.
Clara advises clients with respect to the adoption and registration of trademarks in Canada and abroad, by coordinating opinions from foreign associates. In the field of marketing and advertising law, Clara is called upon to assist clients to clear use rights for all types of creative works and advertisements. She also reviews and approves advertisements to ensure compliance with provincial and federal legislation. She also advises clients on the legal issues that arise in publicity contests and promotions conducted in traditional media and on social media.
In the field of entertainment law, Clara advises clients on collective bargaining agreements with artists’ guilds, unions and associations. She is involved in drafting agreement in all aspects of the development, production, licensing and distribution of film projects, television programs, live stage performances and musical productions.
Before completing a civil law degree at the University of Montreal, Clara graduated in public relations and communication from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Her practice integrates practical solutions focused on business needs and communication.
Before joining St. Lawrence Law Firm, Clara worked at Entertainment One, completed her articling at Cirque du Soleil and then joined an artistic agency as in-house counsel and negotiator.
