Maxime primarily advises clients doing business in the fields of technology, video games, digital media, film, television, publishing and music.
In the context of his broad legal practice in technology law, Maxime represents and advises clients in the negotiation and drafting of contracts related to all aspects of technology commercialization, including outsourcing agreements, software licensing, systems integration, and IT services.
In the field of entertainment law, he represents producers, broadcasters and distributors, from both the United States and Canada, regarding all aspects of the development, production, licensing and distribution of film projects, television programs, live stage performances and musical productions.
Maxime advises clients on a wide range of issues related to privacy law. He develops policies, responds to investigations conducted by regulatory authorities, conducts audits relating to privacy and system security, drafts outsourcing and service agreements involving the transfer of personal information, and assists clients facing challenges related to the protection of personal information.
Maxime also advises clients on matters related to intellectual property registration, litigation and licensing, particularly with respect to trademarks, domain names and copyrights.
Prior to founding St. Lawrence Law Firm, Maxime practiced law for over a decade in two prominent Canadian law firms, Stikeman Elliott and Heenan Blaikie.
